Cyworld, which is scheduled to reopen on April 2, announced on the 28th that it will also launch the cryptocurrency "Acorn (DTR)". The platform is currently the largest and most popular online virtual community in South Korea. It was established in 1999 and is a subsidiary of Sunkyung Telecom. It is the most popular social dating site in South Korea, with more than 18 million members, accounting for more than one-third of South Korea's population.
This is the first cryptocurrency it has officially released. Cyworld even filed a lawsuit, arguing that coins with Cyworld names such as "CYC" and "DOTR" had nothing to do with it.
Cyworld Database (DB) was converted to blockchain to enhance stability and security, and a reward program for Cyworld members was launched through "Conan Drive". CyworldJet said: "We will be showing money while playing Cyworld with Acorns and Conan Coins."
